fourth bridge built on the site, the first being completed in 1790.

history museum, focused on life in the 1740s and 1750s. The fort was the
site of a famous siege in 1747 during the French and Indian War. The
village itself contains 14 buildings, and features exhibits,
demonstrations and historic artifacts. Come find what life was like in mid
18th century New England, learn how to make a birch canoe, or experience a
colonial meal! Events are scheduled throughout the year, and a gift shop
offers a selection of souvenirs, gifts, historic replicas and books. There
is an admission fee. Open daily, except Tuesdays, Memorial Day weekend -
Labor Day, closed weekdays the first two weeks of September, regular
schedule from third weekend of September through Columbus Day weekend.
